Why It’s Better
- Fair Trade Supports fairer work and responsible sourcing.
Protect tabletops with handwoven absorbent sweetgrass coasters.
Description
Protect your table with sisal and sweetgrass instead of synthetic coasters. Rwandan artisans weave each set of four by hand using a generations-old technique, while fair trade production supports the women doing the work. The multicolored geometric pattern comes from the weaving itself rather than a printed surface.
Features
- 4" diameter
- Spot clean only; keep out of direct sunlight to prevent color fading
- Individual size and color variation may occur due to handmade nature
Sisal
Derived from the tough, defense-grade leaves of the agave succulent plant, this coarse botanical fiber features incredible abrasion resistance and high structural stiffness. It forms high-performance utility twine, scrubbing brushes, and dining placemats that deliver absolute zero-waste kitchen utility while rejecting microplastic shedding nylon.
